Mai Al-Eidan Criticizes Angham for Exploiting Her Kuwaiti Son for Attention

Kuwaiti media personality Mai Al-Eidan launched a sharp attack on the Egyptian artist Angham, after the latter presented her son, Abdul Rahman, from her ex-husband, Fahd, to the audience during her last concert, “Night of the Life” in Kuwait, and revealed that he is Kuwaiti like them.

Mai Al-Eidan considered that Angham seeks to draw attention to herself, by showing her Kuwaiti son, saying: “Angham exploits her Kuwaiti son to attract attention, and wants to prove that she is Kuwaiti and that she is connected to the country.”

Al-Eidan said during a post on her official account on the “X” platform (formerly Twitter): “Okay, Angham, thank you for the trend you made with your son, Abdul Rahman Pasha Fahd Al-Shalabi, because to be honest, he made a trend more than your party so that your Excellency would let us know that you love us and we have a Kuwaiti son from Your Honor, of course he is Kuwaiti by name, family, and background only, but he does not know how to speak Kuwaiti at all.”

She continued, “Of course, it is worthy of the first time he has entered Kuwait with you today for a purely commercial and political calculation. The boy is 17 years and 10 months old. He will soon receive Kuwaiti citizenship within a few days. He has full-fat citizenship, citizenship that spreads money, and with the floating of citizenship, the conversion of the dinar has remained stagnant. Secondly, if your concern were humanitarian matters, you would have Jenny, you raised the boy in Kuwait among his family, and when he comes to you on the stage, he wears his country’s clothes, the dishdasha, the ghutra, and the headdress, because the party is in his country and his house. He does not appear in a suit, as if he is being persecuted for the paragraph.”

Mai Al-Eidan continued to say, “It is a story that we teach the Kuwaiti to grow up, my love. Education at a young age is engraving with Hajji. I want, after 18, to teach him what he did not learn when he was young. This is the mother’s question: ‘Dad, my mother is Egyptian, and my father is a Kuwaiti doctor.’ She used to force us to speak Kuwaiti. She says, ‘This is the dialect of your country and your family. You must know it or not bring it.’” He does not know how to speak, a Kuwaiti, nor does he present the history of the land whose nationality he holds, its rulers, and their struggle to preserve it with blood and determinations, nor is he ready to take his nationality and a Kuwaiti, and how will he get to me what gains and rights he has while he has been sitting in Egypt all the years, and your house is Egyptian?

May Al-Eidan concludes by saying, “Of course, you were not free to teach him a Kuwaiti and the history of his country because you were busy with the wives of Ahmed Ezz and Ahmed Ibrahim. You speak the Gulf dialect like a ribbon, but you seem to take the Gulf dialect like the dialect. Sebawiyya is not a system. I love you. You have never seen them. You bring comfortable Kuwait and a family visit. It is all work. You get paid and leave me to Egypt.” “.

During the “Night of Life” festival, Angham’s fans were surprised by the appearance of her son, Abdul Rahman, from her ex-husband, Fahd Al-Shalabi, next to her on the stage while she was singing, amid great applause and welcome from the concert audience.

When introducing her son Abdul Rahman to the Kuwaiti audience, Angham said, “Abdul Rahman Fahd Al-Shalabi, a Kuwaiti national, had to come and visit his country. You have seen this Kuwaiti moon. Congratulations to you and me, and may he be raised in your honor.”
