Al-Marsad Newspaper: Kuwaiti journalist Mai Al-Aidan commented on the refusal of the Egyptian artist residing in Kuwait, Nour Al-Ghandour, to the possibility of her giving up the Egyptian nationality, in exchange for obtaining the Kuwaiti nationality.
Al-Aidan said: “I have never been convinced of her as an actress. I always see her as just a beautiful girl, and she originally started as a model for fashion and beauty experts, but I worked hard and studied at the Higher Institute, but today her respect for me has increased.”
And she continued, “Indeed, a person is supposed to consider any nationality of his country, and the Egyptian nationality heals it. Peaceful people, civilization, and courageous people. I hope the rest of the artists are men or women whose nationality is not the nationality of the country they work. Some, when you mention that not a Kuwaiti, makes you feel that you insulted his mother. I hope they follow the example of Noor Ghandour. Bravo.”
And Nour Al-Ghandour said in an interview with the journalist Ali Al-Olayani on the “Marahel” program on the “SBC” channel: “If I were offered Kuwaiti citizenship in exchange for giving up the Egyptian, I would not agree with my respect and honor for it, as Kuwait is my home, my homeland and my home.”
