Chelsea v Man City presented on the 18th day Premier League, Friday (6/1/2023) early morning WIB. The two teams drew goalless in the first half.
Man City broke the deadlock in the second half through Riyad Mahrez. The goal was the only one created until the long whistle blew.
This result took Man City to close the distance Arsenal on the scoreboard Premier League. The Sky Blues collected 39 points, five points behind the table-top Gunners.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are still nowhere near mid-table. Graham Potter’s team remained in tenth position with 25 points.

Disaster struck Raheem Sterling when the match had lasted just five minutes. The Chelsea striker was injured and replaced by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The collision happened when Christian Pulisic nearly scored in the 17th minute. His attempt was thwarted by a tackle from John Stones.
A tackle by Stones prevented Pulisic from continuing. He was replaced by Carney Chukwuemeka.

Manchester City had a golden opportunity in the 37th minute. Erling Haaland’s close-range shot flew over the bar again.
Chelsea nearly broke the deadlock in the 43rd minute. Chukwuemeka’s low shot hits the post.
No goals were created until the first half began. The first half ended goalless.
Both teams ramped up the intensity of their attacks early in the second half. Man City included Jack Grealish and Riyad Mahrez to increase the power of the blow.
The entry of Grealish and Mahrez has paid off well for Man City. The guests opened the scoring in the 63rd minute.

Grealish sent in a cross from the left which Mahrez tapped into the goal. Man City lead 1-0.
Chelsea tried to rally in the remaining time available, but their efforts yielded no results. A 1-0 win for Man City was the end result of the match.
