Mahos launches a campaign with more than 300 courses for professionals in the sector | BE Malaga | Hour 14 Malaga

The Malaga Hoteliers Association (Mahos) has launched a free online training campaign aimed at workers in the provincial tourism sector. This initiative, called “We will be better”, includes an offer of more than 300 courses accessible through the Training and Employment Portal, empleo.mahos.es.

The objective is for professionals in the tourism sector, who add a constant figure of 80,000 people, with peaks of 100,000 in high season, They can expand their skills and abilities during the period of closure that the sector suffers due to the crisis generated by the coronavirus pandemic, as reported by Mahos through a statement.

“This initiative appeals to the professionalism of the working mass, the true heritage of an industry that attracts more than 13 million visitors each year and which generates 15 percent of the GDP in Andalusia“they have detailed.

Mahos thus promotes the training offer at no cost, with concepts as varied as management of establishments, logistics and shopping in the kitchen, languages ​​for hospitality, protocol, prevention of occupational risks, food handling, menu planning or optimization in hotel management. , among many others.

The central part of the campaign is a promotional video created by Mahos that highlights the leadership of Malaga and the Costa del Sol As a consolidated tourist destination, which relates this success with the aptitude of its professionals and which encourages them to train at this stage of forced closure of establishments to become leaders.

This campaign has a complement in the different social network channels of Mahos, in which it is related to the other two initiatives carried out by the Malaga Hoteliers Association in this crisis: financial support for its associates, on the one hand, and solidarity action through establishments that distribute free food to health personnel and security forces, on the other.

For his part, Mahou San Miguel, through its Malaga brand San Miguel, reaffirms each year its commitment to local hospitality, which is firm and with a long-term vocation. The brewery contributes to promoting activity in bars and restaurants, “attracting consumers with unique and quality experiences that help revitalize the hospitality sector, a source of wealth in our country and one of its main tourist attractions.”
