Presenting a real character is not easy, so how was the preparation for presenting it?
** The character required a lot of effort from me, as I presented the character of the hero, “Ahmed Esmat”, who is a character from the ground, and this matter made me search for his family or relatives, but I could not reach any of them. So I started looking for videos of his relatives talking about him, especially after the “Karam al-Qawadis” battle, but I watched many interviews with them in the programs, and how he wanted to continue his work due to his desire to take the rights of his colleagues, all of which are important details and qualities in his personality, which I found in him Perseverance and strength. I was interested in knowing all the details about him, whether by knowing his feelings during difficult moments or his personal nature.
What drew you to this job?
** The character itself attracted me very much, because the character of Ahmed Esmat has challenges, and it is the character of a hero that I am honored to have presented, and I was very happy that I would present that character, and I did not hesitate at all, and I was excited by what I read the script, just as the role is different and new to me and a great honor for me Presenting it, because he is a martyr who sacrificed his life for the sake of serving the country. As actors, we do not present these characters because they are real heroes, while we only embody their characters in works of art.
* After showing the episodes in which you appeared under the name “Ahmed Esmat”, did any of his family contact you?
** Indeed, it happened and his cousin or cousin contacted me – but I do not remember exactly – and that was through my official account on “Instagram”, and she expressed her happiness at work, and this matter I was looking for, because I wanted to know the opinion of his relatives after I assumed the character of the hero Ahmed Esmat .

* Many confirmed that in one of the scenes you were influenced by your grandfather’s works, especially the movie “A Song on the Passage”?
** I was very happy because it was a coincidence that was not intended, and I was surprised by the video in which one of the followers on the social media combined the two scenes, and in fact this is something that made me very happy, because I did not imagine that the viewers would see that, although while preparing for the character, I made every effort to stay away Exactly from the films of my late grandfather, artist Mahmoud Yassin, who was distinguished for presenting war films. All this so as not to fall into the trap of imitation while performing the character that I presented, and this matter worried me very much because I memorize very well the works of my grandfather.
Does the idea of comparisons between you and your grandfather bother you?
** I expected from the beginning that this comparison would happen, but I see that it is not logical at all, because it belittles the history of Mahmoud Yassin, and it is difficult to compare him to someone who did not present 6 works in his life, as it is an unfair comparison even if it is with his grandson.
* What are the difficult scenes that you faced inside the work?
** The scene of the “Karam al-Qawadis” explosion, in the second episode of the series. This scene was difficult because it required mental and physical effort, and required a feeling of “forgiveness” due to the amount of rapid events and the evocation of anxiety and fear.

* Did you need special physical training to be able to play this role, or for special preparations?
** Of course, the series “Battalion 101” changed any work in which I participated. We had a group of army officers with us to help us understand some of the details, and the treatment was Merry, and they gave us some “thunderbolt” weapon exercises, and I shaved my hair and beard as if I was in the army. In fact, I did not join the army, but the difficult conditions of filming “Battalion 101” required that, and the conditions for filming the series were difficult, as I was wearing summer clothes in winter weather, and everyone was focusing on the details to show the work in the best way in front of the audience.
*Is there a character you wished to embody alongside “Martyr Ahmed Esmat”?
** I wished to play the role that the artist Ahmed Sultan embodied, because it is the character of a soldier who found a takfiri terrorist and attacked him by blowing himself up. These soldiers stopped a lot because of their different thinking, and the idea of someone dying to protect his colleagues and not thinking about himself.
How do you accept criticism directed at you after each work you do?
** I usually follow all the comments on social networking sites and read them with great focus, and I do not get angry at the negative comments, but there are comments that I do not pay attention to, because there is a category that makes fun of any artwork at all, and this is something that is completely unacceptable and cannot be accepted any artist.
* What are your artworks in the coming period?
** In the current period, I am preparing to shoot a movie called “Marzouq and Ito” with the artist Mohamed Ramadan, and I am very happy to work with the artist Mohamed Ramadan, as he is a very decent and cooperative person who loves all his colleagues at work. And I am waiting for the show of the series “Warrior”, after its exit from the last Ramadan drama season, and the reason for its exit from the two seasons. The work is full of drama and events consisting of 30 episodes, and due to lack of time, those in charge decided to postpone it to Ramadan 2024, due to their desire to present it in the manner and manner that befits it.
