Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md talk about the COVID-19 controversy, from the COVID-19 army of God to the American-Chinese creation. Mahfud stressed that the Corona virus can infect anyone indiscriminately.
“Brothers, there used to be a controversy, was there really a COVID-19, some said this was America’s creation, China’s creation was a global conspiracy. There were also those who said that diligently performing ablution, praying diligently was not affected. ” said Mahfud in the ‘Virtual Gathering of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs with Alim Ulama, Ponpes Caregivers and Religious Leaders throughout West Java’, Sunday (25/7/2021).
Mahfud said that many religious scholars and role models were affected by the Corona virus. Mahfud emphasized that COVID is not a conspiracy.
“Many of our scholars are also diligent in prayer, which we do not doubt the purity of his body always keep ablution exposed to COVID-19. I took the example of the late Kiai Ali Jaber, very close to me. That is who doubts his ablution? Diligent fasting, diligent prayer, day preaching -night and he believes the COVID is there and wearing a mask, it’s okay, “he said
“Let’s see it as a fact. But it’s not a conspiracy from one religion to a certain religion, because all religions are affected. It’s not a matter of people worshiping diligently or not,” said Mahfud.
