Delhi: Maharashtra leader Sanjay Nirupat expelled from Congress. The action was taken in the name of anti-party activities. Rumors are rife that Nirupam, who has criticized the policies of the Congress, will join the BJP.
Nirupam had openly opposed the Congress alliance with the Shiv Sena in the Lok Sabha elections. Sanjay Nirupat alleged that the Shiv Sena had formed an alliance with the Congress to contest six seats in Mumbai. He also blamed it to destroy the Congress. Criticizing Shiv Sena’s Uddhav faction for winning more seats, Sanjay demanded that the Congress leave the Mahavikas Aghadi alliance.
Congress Party should not waste much energy and stationery for me.
Instead, use your remaining energy and stationery to save the party.
Anyway, the party is going through a severe financial crisis.
The period of one week that I had given has been completed today.
Tomorrow I will take the decision myself.

Earlier, Sanjay had dropped Nirupam from the list of star promoters. Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole had earlier stated that it seems he has taken an agreement to speak against the Congress and action will be taken. Disciplinary action was recommended by the Congress State Committee meeting held today.
Sanjay Nirupam said that he will announce his future decision tomorrow. He said on social media that the Congress is going through a big crisis and the leaders should use energy to save the party. It is rumored that Nirupam will join the BJP.
