As reported by Asp. Marcin Sawicki from the press team of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Radom, the accident occurred on Saturday at 9:14 p.m. on the provincial road no. 736 in the town of Magnuszew in Kozienice County.
– A 42-year-old driver of a Ford hit two groups of pedestrians moving along the road. The first group consisted of two 55-year-old women and a 37-year-old man. They were taken to hospital, where one of the women died. The second group consisted of a woman and a man whose identity has not yet been established – they died at the scene.
Asp. Sawicki told Interia, the accident took place outside a built-up area, where there is no sidewalk. Pedestrians were moving on the verge or the roadway. The police will still determine these issues during the investigation.

As reported by the police officer, Kozienice police officers detained the 42-year-old. – The first sobriety test showed that he had less than 1.5 per mille of alcohol in exhaled air – he added.
Police activities under the supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Kozienice are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the accident. The personal details of two of the three fatal victims of the incident are also being established.
– We appeal to pedestrians to be careful and to drivers to be sober – said Asp. Marcin Sawicki.
