Magnitude 6.2 Earthquake Strikes Bengkulu with No Tsunami Threat

Earthquake Earth magnitude (M) 6.2 occurred in Bengkulu. BMKG stated that this earthquake had no potential to trigger a tsunami wave.

“No potential for a tsunami,” said BMKG via its Twitter account, @infoBMKG, Saturday (15/4/2023).

The earthquake occurred at 22.07 WIB. The epicenter of the earthquake is 4.93 LS and 102.85 BT.

The epicenter was located 53 km southwest of South Bengkulu.

There have been no reports of damage from this earthquake.
