A magnitude 4.1 earthquake was felt in Antalya late this evening.
According to a statement from the Ankara Presidency Directorate for Emergencies and Natural Disasters (AFAD), an earthquake was registered in the Mediterranean Sea at 68.39 km from Kumlujja in Antalya District at 11:04 p.m. (10:04 p.m. Bulgarian time).
The tremor is registered at a depth of 38.82 kilometers underground.
After the earthquake, there was a brief panic among people in Antalya and the resort town of Kasas some have gone outside their homes, waiting for aftershocks.
The governor of Antalya, Hulusi Sahin, announced on social networks that there were no reports of casualties, injuries or serious material damage in the area.
The tremor was felt significantly in Antalya County and neighboring areas, Alanya, Kas, Mersin and Fethiye.
