An earthquake with a magnitude (M) of 4.0 rocked Bogor city, West Java (West Java). The earthquake was centered on land.
According to data from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the earthquake occurred on Friday (8/12/2023), at 02.00 WIB. The location of the earthquake was at 6.74 south latitude and 106.61 east longitude.
“26 km southwest of Bogor City, West Java,” wrote BMKG in its X account.
BMKG said the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometers.
