The big anniversary celebration at the airport is almost over when the announcement of the next event follows. But this one will be a few sizes smaller. After all, it is already taking place for the third time. And that alone already means that the Magic Park Music and Light Festival was twice well received by the public.
From November 23rd to December 10th, visitors to the Circle Park will be offered a varied music and children’s program. Twelve new light art installations will create a pre-Christmas mood. On two Sundays, a new acoustic act will appear in the magic park.
For 18 days there are performances from a wide variety of genres every evening. Swiss acts such as Stefanie Heinzmann, Pegasus, Bligg, Marc Sway, Luca Hänni, Stubete Gäng, Dodo and Joya Marleen will also be there. In addition to Swiss artists, combos from abroad also perform in the magic park: Zoe Wees, Juli, Gipsy Kings by Diego Baliardo and Tim Bendzko are part of this year’s line-up. In cooperation with the Denk an mich foundation, Sina’s concert on December 1st will be translated into sign language live on stage. The concert by the Swiss musician will thus be made accessible to even more visitors.
With children’s program and light art
The Kids Acts perform in the early evening before the Music Acts, including Linard Bardill, Marius and the Jagdkapelle or the Songbirds. The storyteller Aunt Carmen, magician and ventriloquist Dan White, Silberbüx, Papagallo & Gollo and Laurent & Max will also be there again.
In addition to the music and children’s program, the magic park with its light art offers another program highlight. The light installations, curated by the art and design collective NOA (No Ordinary Art Lab AG), come from artists from all over Europe. Twelve new works of art are placed along a circular route that lasts 30 to 45 minutes, depending on how long you stay.
Throughout the Magic Park, guests can look forward to twelve culinary delights from local restaurateurs who offer regional offerings.
Ticket sales have been running since September 1st. Guests can purchase different tickets. Among other things, tickets are offered only for the children’s program and the light installations, for the concert (including the children’s act and light installations) or for viewing the light installations after the concert.
