On the four weekends of Advent, pre-Christmas magic moves through the streets of Linz am Rhein. It smells of mulled wine and the historic houses and alleys sparkle romantically, then it is finally Christmas in Linz and the “colorful city on the Rhine” is transformed into a cozy Christmas village. Handcrafted and lovingly decorated wooden panels transform the many owner-run shops with partly traditional handicrafts into cute little Christmas market stalls at Linz Christmas Magic. The lively advent calendar holds some surprises for visitors with special offers that change every day. On the market square, cozy lounge areas in modern pagoda tents invite you to linger regardless of the weather and sip fragrant mulled wine. A colorful children’s program, a wide choice of restaurants and changing live music on weekends complete Linz’s offer.
