Magic Leap 2 arrives in September for prices starting at $3,299

Magic Leap announced that the new generation of its augmented reality (AR) headset arrives on September 30th. O Magic Leap 2 will arrive in three different packaging options, starting at $3,299.

The new headset is somewhat more expensive than its previous version, which hit the market for $2,295. One of the reasons for this is the change in the company’s focus to a commercial use of the product for the time being, without necessarily targeting the consumer market.

The Magic Leap 2 can be purchased in the “basic” package, which only comes with the headset and warranty. The next option is the Developer Pro package, which comes with headset-compatible software development tools, plus access to early program releases, priced at $4,099. Finally, we have the Enterprise option, for $4,999. The more expensive version also brings tools for software distribution and quarterly updates for the headset.

The improvements of new version of Magic Leap are not very expressive, but they exist. Among the most important highlights, the headset became lighter, going from 316g to 260g. The field of view has also been increased, reaching 70º in the new generation. O official site lists full product specifications.

Magic Leap 2 will be sold in select markets, but Brazil is out of launch plans initially.
