There had been no snow in the department for a few days. It must have been enough for Santa Claus to plan his visit to the Chartres flying club for a whirlwind of snowflakes to amaze the children.
For the first time, this Wednesday the Chartres flying club organized a meeting with Santa Claus. A privileged moment with the most famous man in red and white in the world, during which the children were able to give him their letter and take a photo of the moment.
Ten minutes before his arrival, they are already crowding in front of the grid, as close to the track as possible, to make sure they don’t miss any of the show.
snow and smiles
Nolan, Leïla, Lucas and the others eagerly awaited his arrival, their eyes wide and fixed on the sky. Santa hats screwed on the head, and the nursery rhyme Little Santa Claus intoned, in chorus, as if to make it happen faster. But if the snow enchanted all the children present, it still prevented Santa Claus from arriving from the sky, as expected. But that’s not enough to spoil their fun… “It doesn’t matter, as long as he arrived safely! smiles Louise, relieved.Once Santa Claus is on the track, there’s no rest for a minute: all the children crowd around him, so as not to miss a beat. In a few moments Santa Claus takes his place in the club house of the flying club, surrounded by dozens of children, with their eyes full of stars.
Each in turn, they could hand him their traditional letter… if it hadn’t already been sent. “I don’t have mine because I’ve already delivered it to the post office,” Leïla explains to Santa Claus, while her basket fills up with dozens of letters for the North Pole.
While the snow falls in thick flakes, outside the children enjoy a snack offered by the flying club and a photo shoot with the person who will come to deposit the gifts at the foot of the tree on the night between 24 and 25 December. A taste of the magic of Christmas for children, but also for parents. “It’s a great idea, and the snow made it even more magical for the kids,” says one mother.A first time for the flying club, which intends to renew the operation. “There were a lot of people at the meeting and if it goes well, we will make it an annual meeting,” already announces Harmonie Chevallier, commercial of the flying club. The appointment is fixed.
