Magelang Regent Expresses Concern and Apologizes for Unrest in Muntilan

Magelang Regent Zaenal Arifin feel concerned about the incident unrest between groups that occurred in Muntilan, Magelang, Central Java. He apologized to road users who were disturbed by the incident.

“Of course, on behalf of the regional government, together with Forkopinda, we are concerned about this incident. Of course, we sat down with the Chief of Police, the Dandim and two groups who indicated there was a problem. We will carry out mediation to help the process of resolving this problem,” said Zaenal to journalists in Muntilan, as reported detikJatengSunday (15/10/2023).

“Once again, we are concerned about this incident. And later we will facilitate mediation so that these incidents do not happen again in the Magelang Regency area,” he continued.

According to Zaenal, Magelang Regency has been known to be cool and peaceful. He hopes that a similar incident will not happen again in the future.

Regarding the motorbikes that were burned, said Zaenal, data collection would be carried out and to this day the data is not yet known for certain. They will facilitate the process of resolving this problem.

“Most importantly, we, the regional government, must guarantee everyone’s safety and must protect everyone. We will facilitate the resolution processes, whatever the form, so that it is clear and there will be no more problems or issues,” he added.
