Magdeburg has to take out another million-dollar loan. The reason is sharply increasing personnel costs, which are not covered by the budget for 2023, according to a resolution submitted to the city council.
This involves an amount of around eight million euros, of which 5.4 million is attributable to inflation compensation money alone. This money must now be covered by liquidity loans, according to city documents.
