On July 28, after a battle with severe and rare liver cancer, her son died Magdalena Stępień I Jakub Rzeźniczak. Little Oliver was only one year old. Recently Magdalene Stepien appeared on the wall as part of the charity campaign of the “Pomaganie Jest Trendy” foundation. Jakub Rzeźniczak’s former partner has also recently given several interviews. One of them was an interview with “Party” magazine.
Recall that Stępień decided to fight for the health and life of her son in one of the clinics in Israel. Initially the boy’s tumor decreased, but – as Magda revealed in an interview with “Party” – at a certain point the situation worsened. Because although the doctors initially wanted to remove the tumor surgically, unfortunately the operation did not happen, because it suddenly started to grow. Magda wanted to seek help elsewhere and return to Poland. But it was too late.
The situation was changing. Once the tumor shrunk, it grew again. The chemo didn’t work on him. There was a metastasis to the lungs, but the doctors said the metastases could be removed. Oliver would go through two major surgeries, but that would be doable. However, the tumor suddenly began to grow so much that the doctors did not want to operate. I even had a plan to go back to Poland and seek help elsewhere. I thought we had time, but it was too late he confessed.
In the conversation, Stępień also confessed that her son’s health deteriorated significantly at the end of July. Then the breathing problems started. As she puts it, she’s heard from the doctors that Oliver might die, but she still tried not to let that thought cross her mind. Unfortunately, the worst happened one night. Oliver is dead.
I prayed a lot. My faith in God is so strong and deep that I believed in a miracle. I said, “No, Lord God, you won’t take that away from me.” Sometimes I feel terrible pain when I remember this sight: his big belly and my inexorable hope that he will recover. Mom believes in it to the end, mom never gives up… In the last three days there has been less contact with him. He had a high fever and I wanted to relieve him so I gave him ice cream. I will remember this moment for the rest of my life. Was so happy to eat them. Then in the night he died. Hope dies last and she died with him when he died in my arms. I also asked the doctors to leave him alone for a while. There’s nothing worse than the moment a child walks away and you can’t do anything.
As Magda confessed, “a part of her died” after Oliwa’s funeral. She also explains that she no longer fears death because nothing in her life will be worse than the death of a child.
I’m alive, but it’s more of an existence. I do not care. I am no longer afraid of death, because I was very afraid of it. When you see your child’s death, you are no longer afraid of anything, because there is nothing worse than what happened to you.

Unfortunately, these foreign hospitals exploit the bad luck of the parents and the good hearts of the people who pay. If you’re on the subject a little, in the case of most cancers, the prognosis is known in advance. Ideally, the clinic in Israel would reveal what wonder drug they treated him with and how effective it was in clinical trials. Of course not, because they have nothing like that.
