In the Champions League meeting away against Wolfsburg, Chelsea’s Magdalena Eriksson fell badly after an air duel just before half time.
An Eriksson close to tears was seen being taken care of by the medical team when she held her left knee tightly.
Although the Swede seemed to be affected by the pain, she clearly played the first half, but early in the second she was forced to link off.

Double dark for Chelsea, who in addition to Magdalena’s injury worries were also approaching withdrawal from the Champions League.
Wolfsburg took an early two-goal lead in the first half, and were also able to extend it to 3-0, ten minutes after Eriksson stepped off the field. Tough for the Swedish goalkeeper Zecira Musovic who stood between the posts in the Chelsea goal.
In the 78th minute, Wolfsburg punctured the match when the German Tabea Wassmuth scored 4-0 with his second goal of the evening.
The loss means that Lina Hurtig’s Juventus overtakes Chelsea in the group and together with Wolfsburg are ready for the quarter finals.
