They remain mobilized and want to make it known. A delegation of employees from the Maflow Chartres factory was received by Françoise Souliman, prefect of Eure-et-Loir, this Thursday, April 28 at the end of the afternoon. Maflow, in Chartres, has belonged to the Polish group Boryszew since 2010.
This structure manufactures parts for Peugeot-Citroën and Renault. But the activity has been disrupted since the two customers of the Chartres automobile subcontractor decided to entrust the orders to other service providers.
“Our desire is to maintain employment”
The management confirmed, two weeks ago, the closure this summer of the site, installed in the Jardin d’entreprises. The 91 employees should be laid off.
Eric Jarry, Force Ouvrière union representative and secretary of the CSE (social and economic committee) Maflow Chartres, details the situation: “Negotiations began on April 12 as part of a PSE (employment safeguard plan). We had a meeting on Wednesday with a law firm. We do not have a direct interlocutor from the Boryszew group to discuss. »
The 91 employees of the company Maflow, under the influence of an amicable liquidation, in Chartres, will be dismissed
It is in this context that a delegation was received at the prefecture, this Thursday, by Françoise Souliman and heads of services.
“We are asking for more effective state intervention than what has been done so far, insists Éric Jarry. Our desire is to maintain employment. This is our message. The state can and must intervene. It is a question of calling on customers to bring back production and resume activity. PSA and Renault have received aid. The goal is to challenge the State services for the maintenance of the site and, if necessary, to provide funds within the framework of the negotiation and the reclassification of the employees. »
A threat of closure hangs over the Maflow Chartres factory, a subcontractor of Renault and PSA
Beyond the legal compensation, the staff representatives are asking, in agreement with a general meeting of employees, for a bonus of €2,500 per year of seniority and per employee.
“The management offers €800 per year of seniority. Which is far from our demands, underlines Éric Jarry. Here too, the prefect can intervene to organize a round table and move things forward. »
At the end of the meeting, which lasted almost an hour, Éric Jarry confided: “Madame le préfet was listening and I think he was sensitive to what we were able to express. But now, we are waiting for concrete actions on this file. »
