Raid in Frankfurt’s Westend and abroad: Police seize six kilograms of cocaine
Following on from the raid in Frankfurt, searches were carried out at 21 properties in Rhineland-Palatinate and Croatia. A total of ten people are accused and six have already been arrested. They were part of an international drug organization.
During the searches, the police seized 200,000 euros in cash, around six kilograms of cocaine and four cash safes. There were also cell phones, storage media and seven money counting machines.
According to the public prosecutor’s office, the accused are suspected of having purchased several 100 kilograms of cocaine per year from wholesalers since 2020 and distributed them in the Rhine-Main area and abroad. Her network was large. These included 13 courier drivers and bunker managers. The group is said to have hidden the cocaine and cash in their bunkers in the Frankfurt city area.
Group used its own “WhatsApp”
The group seemed to have put in an enormous amount of effort. So they used their own encrypted messenger service. This was disguised as WhatsApp. The group probably had it developed specifically to conduct their business covertly.

As the public prosecutor announced, the measures on Tuesday follow searches and arrests in October a year ago. Following these measures, the BKA managed to identify additional suspects. Immediately after the 2023 measures, the police arrested a courier driver. This raised suspicions that the group had immediately resumed drug trafficking.
It was only in July that the police carried out a major raid against drug dealers in downtown Frankfurt.
