Pauls’ relationship with the Chekhov Theater (formerly the Riga Russian Drama Theater) dates back to 1963, when he first composed music for Kārlis Wittlinger’s play, “man from the Star.” However, a significant partnership blossomed in 2000 with the musical “Carrie,” followed by other prosperous collaborations, including “Odesa, the Enchanted City…” (2007) and “Ghost of Canterville” (2016).
