Maduro recommends people get a booster vaccine against covid-19

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, awarded the titles to 507 new Doctors and Nurse Specialists of the National Public Health System this Tuesday.

From the Theater of the Military University of the Army, in Fuerte Tiuna, Caracas, the Head of State awarded the titles to the new professionals, who were trained in the hospital centers of the National Public Health System; and precisely: from the Venezuelan Social Security Institute (II COHORT 2021) 400 Specialist Doctors and 38 Specialist Nurses emerged, while from the General Directorate of Health of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (III Cohort) refer to 39 specialist doctors and 30 specialized nurses .

Maduro congratulated the new specialists who “take a step forward in scientific knowledge, in education,” he said.

Doctors specialize in the areas of pediatrics, surgery, internal medicine, gynecology, cardiology and nephrology, anesthesiology, laparoscopy, pediatric critical care medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, oral-maxillofacial facial surgery, trauma surgery, among other specialties, in order to broaden the knowledge and put it into practice in the different hospitals belonging to the Venezuelan Institute of Social Security (IVSS).

In this line, nurses and nurses have specialized in the areas of hemotherapy and perioperative.

On this day, the Official Diplomas in the various components will also be awarded to health science professionals, through special and extraordinary official training courses.

He recalled that in the Fourth Republic, undertaking university studies was reserved for the privileged. “We are on the right path, we are on the right path, we are on the necessary path, step by step, little by little”, said the Head of State.

The dignitary highlighted that Venezuela has built an excellent health system thanks to the training of professionals. “Knowledge adds to a common cause; the preparation of health specialists who are consolidating free and quality public health, full of profound ethics”, he highlighted.

In this regard, the national president stated that “sooner or later we must have a health system that assists the Venezuelan people in all circumstances”.

Reinforcement against covid-19

President Maduro highlighted the work done by the national public health system with the arrival of the covid-19 pandemic in the country.

He stressed that health systems around the world have been tested by covid-19 and the Venezuelan nation, despite constant harassment by the media and imperialist countries, has been able to establish the necessary strategies to deal with the pandemic.

“With strategies, with adequate public policies, with audacity, with patience, with wisdom, we have protected our people since the first day of the pandemic”, highlighted the President.

He stressed that despite the sanctions, Venezuela maintains the lowest levels of infections and mortality in the world against covid-19. “US imperialism has intensified the blockade on Venezuela, but the people have always had their full assistance.”

Similarly, Maduro has warned of a new wave of Coronavirus infections in countries around the world.

In this sense, he recommended that people undergo the booster vaccine against covid-19. “You have to keep putting in reinforcements. In Venezuela we have achieved a high level of protection for people,” she stressed.

He assured that thanks to the extraordinary relations with the New World, “we have managed to ensure that Venezuela has the Chinese, Russian and Cuban vaccine”.

He said the coronavirus continues and congratulated all the people still wearing the mask. “Venezuela has a year of flexibility and we are advancing successfully thanks to awareness and prevention.”
