Maduro, ‘Machado mobilized only 3,500 people in Venezuela’

(ANSA) – CARACAS, 19 AUG – According to Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, the Venezuelans who participated in the various demonstrations called by the leader of the opposition coalition United Platform were only 3,500. “Our strength, however, was spectacular. No less than 350,000 people took to the streets for us in Caracas, without counting the 100 cities where we demonstrated,” he declared during the meeting with the national leadership of his party, the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV). The meeting, which was broadcast on state television, was organized in view of the 2025 administrative elections in which the governors of the 23 Venezuelan states will be elected. “We will win everywhere,” declared Maduro, who then added that “fascism has failed, Venezuela has defeated it.” “We must consolidate the victory in the face of hatred, lies, manipulations, the dirty campaign that has replaced politics as a human good, as a public service,” he said.
