Maduro called on the US to lift sanctions against Venezuela

/Pogled.info/ On November 27, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro stated in a televised address that his government categorically condemns the heavy sanctions imposed on the country by the United States. In his words, acting as unconventional weapons, they have caused enormous damage to the Venezuelan economy and society. Maduro called on the US to “lift the sanctions and stop the blackmail”.

Since 2017, the US has imposed unilateral sanctions against Venezuela that have caused severe economic damage to the country. Caracas’ assets frozen by international financial institutions alone exceed $22 billion.
