Madrid, Jul 30 (EFE).- The Community of Madrid has trained 700 teachers within the 2023 Foreign Language Training Plan, with which stays have been provided in other countries, such as the US, France, Germany or the Kingdom United.
According to the Community of Madrid, these teachers, from Infant and Primary Education, Secondary Education and Vocational Training technicians, have completed the courses held this month in person and online, both in Spain and abroad.
In addition, nursery school professionals in the region have had access to these activities, a measure that strengthens and consolidates the objective of extending the Spanish-English Bilingual Program in the stage from 0 to 3 years.
In this edition, and once the restrictions imposed by the covid-19 pandemic have been eliminated, practically all of the 31 courses have been taught in person, both in Spain and abroad.
Likewise, the regional government has offered courses in English, French and German, to those teachers who, having acquired a B2 level of communicative competence, intend to reach C1 in the future, the level required to obtain qualification to perform bilingual positions in the educational system of the Community of Madrid.
In Madrid and Barcelona they have done so with prestigious institutions such as the Carlos III University, the Goethe Institute, the Madrid Français Institute, the International American Institute, the School of Writers and the British Council.
Through the design and organization of the 2023 Foreign Language Training Plan, the Ministry of Education, Science and Universities has emphasized that “teacher training is a priority aspect to guarantee an education of the highest quality”. EFE
