Carlo Ancelotti start training at Real Madrid with high intensity. The players were asked to sleep in the club mess so they could get a quick rest.
Madrid started its first training session on Monday (5/7/2021) local time. The training took place at Real Madrid City in the Valdebebas area.
This side was led directly by Ancelotti by starting with a training circuit. The players then practice ball circulation, ball possession, pressing, and internal play on small courts.

The practice session ended with the players divided into groups. They completed several high-intensity running exercises.
Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez, who had experienced fitness problems, were able to finish training. Ferland Mendy trained indoors and Isco was absent for family reasons with the coach’s permission.

Ancelotti decided to make his players sleep in club facilities, with the idea being for players to rest in the club mess whenever there is a heavy workload schedule.
Ancelotti felt as though it was the best place for players to rest, recover and start working again the next day. In the morning the same exercise will be done again.
This is Ancelotti’s second term as head coach of Madrid following the departure of Zinedine Zidane. He previously served from 2013 to 2015, after which he managed Bayern Munich, Napoli and Everton.
