The Community of Madrid has registered in the last 24 hours 46 deaths from coronavirus. This is the lowest figure since March 12, two days before the current state of alarm was decreed. This has been assured by the Ministry of Health through the last part of the COVID-19 data this Friday.
Yesterday they added 71 deaths from the pandemic, so the figure for this Friday is 35.21% lower. However, the new infections registered in the last 24 hours have been 658, a figure 62% higher than the 406 that were registered this Thursday, according to data provided by the Community of Madrid.
So far, 8,222 people have died in the Community of Madrid from coronavirus, according to data provided by the Ministry of Health. But these data collect the deaths in hospitals and do not include deaths in residences, which amount to 5,811 older people, according to figures provided by the Autonomous Government of the Community of Madrid. The Executive of Pedro Sánchez Nor does it include the 827 deaths in the region at home and the other 24 elsewhere, figures also provided by the Government of Isabel Díaz Ayuso.
The coronavirus has left more than 24,824 deaths in Spain and more than 215,000 confirmed cases so far. However, these figures from the central government do not include the aforementioned deaths or many deaths recorded in Catalonia, so the actual number of dead would exceed 35,000.
In the Community of Madrid there are 706 people admitted to the UCI, 21 fewer than this Thursday, according to the regional executive. The Ministry of Health reports that 3,392 people have passed through the intensive care units of the Autonomous Community.
In Madrid hospitals there are now 3,840 people, 378 fewer than the previous data on Thursday. The total number of people hospitalized since the start of the pandemic is 40,293. The cured are 447 more than yesterday, 1.21% more, up to a total of 37,154 Madrid residents who have overcome the disease.
