City firefighters Madrid made a total of 605 door openings between March 11 and May 11, rescuing the bodies of 62 deceased, although the City Council of the capital has indicated that it does not imply that all of them die alone.
Interventions have increased by 164 compared to 2019, when 27 people were found dead in the same period, as detailed by the general coordinator of Security and Emergencies Francisco Javier Hernández Martínez in the branch commission, held this Wednesday at the Palacio de Cibeles blended.

“From this data we cannot deduce in any case that all the deceased were in a situation of solitude and that all the door opening codes are due to death,” said this senior official in response to a question from the socialist councilor Ramón Silva.
