– Significantly higher than normal
The meteorologists write on Twitter that the temperature can reach over 35 degrees in several places in the world.
– In some places, these are not abnormal summer temperatures, as in the Middle East. In Spain, North-West Africa, Kazakhstan, the USA and Canada, on the other hand, the temperatures are significantly higher than normal, it is written on Twitter.
Oveheid explains to Dagbladet that extreme heat in West Africa, especially Tunisia, sends hot air into southern Spain.
– It is around 48-50 degrees in Tunisia, and this warm air is moving in towards southern Spain. So they will have a real heat wave on Tuesday, after which the temperature will drop, he continues.
