It could not be. Despite the fact that some polls opened the door to change, the Popular Party, led by the current mayor José Luis Martínez Almeida, will once again govern the Madrid City Council and this time alone, with 97.5% voted for. The PP gets 29 councilors, an absolute majority that will allow it to govern alone, while Cs, the formation of the former deputy mayor Begoña Villacís, disappears from the map.
On the other side, Más Madrid loses five seats —from 19 to 12—, and the PSOE wins three, going from 8 to 12. Podemos fails to enter the plenary session of the City Council, leaving Sotomayor with 4.89% of the votes.

The photo that leaves these municipal elections is more tilted to the right if possible. The PP would double the number of councilors in the current corporation, going from 15 to 29, and the far-right formation Vox, whose candidate Ortega Smith is the worst valued according to the CIS survey, would go from four to five seats.
