Madras High Court Cancels Bhavninder Singh’s Bail in Cheating Case Filed by Amala Paul

Bhavninder Singh was arrested by the Tamil Nadu police last year on the complaint lodged by Amala Paul that he had stolen her money and property and tortured her mentally.

Chennai: The Madras High Court canceled the bail granted to actress Amala Paul’s ex-husband Bhavninder Singh in the cheating case. Justice CV Karthikeyan’s order came on Amala Paul’s plea.

Tamil Nadu police arrested Bhavninder Singh last year on the complaint filed by Amala Paul that Bhavninder Singh and his family robbed her of money and property and tortured her mentally.

The complaint was that they cheated by taking advantage of their closeness during their time together. However, Bhavninder was granted bail by the Vizhupuram Magistrate Court. The High Court order was filed by Amala Paul questioning it.

The High Court pointed out that the bail was granted without any conditions and it would affect the investigation of the case. Amala became close with Paul Bhavninder after her separation from her first husband AL Vijay. Later, the two separated.

In the first week of November 2023, Amala Paul married Jagat Desai, a native of Surat, Gujarat. Amala’s wedding was held at Bolgatti Palace in Kochi.
