Singer Madonna had an accident in New York during the opening date of his “Celebration” tour of the United States. The “Material Girl” singer, who began her concert series at the Barclays Center stadium in Brooklyn, did not appear on stage until 11 p.m. three hours later than planned.
With extra time and nothing to do, many of those present decided to share their anger on social networks.
“I don’t care if you’re Madonna, if you’re 3 hours late you’re f***ing rude,” tweeted one follower, clearly upset.
“The concert is supposed to start at 8:30. Madonna started at 11 p.m. The entire state he insulted her due to his delay. Great show, but it came too late,” said another audience member, who also complained about the preview: adding that DJ Honey Dijon opened the show with “boring house music.”
“2:30 hours late. “I want a refund now,” a third demanded. “I love Madonna, but it’s really in bad taste that he literally arrived two hours late to his first show in the United States,” added another indignant one.
According to a source close to Madonna, citing the PageSix portal, there were some technical problems during the sound check.
Despite the anger of the public, the composer’s performance received favorable reviews when she finally began to sing: many of the attendees assured, then, that the wait was worth it.
