It is still unclear what the consequences will be for the shows in Amsterdam on December 1 and 2. The singer was diagnosed last Saturday, writes manager Guy Oseary on Instagram. “Her health is improving, but she is still receiving care,” said Oseary. “She is expected to make a full recovery.”
He writes that at the moment she has to interrupt all obligations, including the tour. The concert series was scheduled to begin July 15 in Vancouver, Canada. 84 concerts were planned in more than 40 cities. The manager promises more information as it becomes available, such as the new tour start date and shows to be made up.
Madonna’s previous world tour, The Madame X Tour, was in 2019. Then the singer had to cancel several concerts due to a knee injury. A show in the Netherlands was not planned at the time. Her last major concert in the Netherlands was in 2015.
