A month ago, she was found unconscious. Now Madonna thanks divine powers for life.
At the end of June, the legendary pop icon Madonna was found in a helpless state in New York, having contracted a serious bacterial infection.
In an Instagram post on Sundaythe 64-year-old thanks her family and friends for all the help and support in the time after she was rushed to hospital – and not least all the “angels who protected” her.

The mother-of-six says the children have really “been there for” her when she became seriously ill, and she extends a special thank you to her manager, Guy Oseary, who is said to have given her a new perspective on life when he gave her a photograph with a Michael Jackson motif :
– I realized how lucky I am to be alive. And how lucky I am to have known these people and so many others who are also gone, she writes.
– The best medicine
The pop star was on the steps of her new ‘Celebration’ tour when she contracted the potentially fatal bacterial infection last month.
A few days later she was, according to CNNdischarged from hospital and has since nursed the disease at home – and that with good follow-up, according to herself.
– Love from family and friends is the best medicine, she writes in the post.
Madonna has daughter Lourdes Leon with actor Carlos Leon, son Rocco Ritchie with British film director Guy Ritchie, in addition to son David Banda, daughter Chifundo “Mercy” James and twins Stella and Estere, who are all adopted, writes CNN.

Now the start of the tour has been postponed until October and, judging by an Instagram post from last week, the star is finally able to dance a little:
