Madonna has postponed her world tour due to illness. The American pop star has been in intensive care for the past few days due to a bacterial infection.
“On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a bacterial infection. As a result, she spent several days in the hospital in intensive care,” quoted. Sky News her manager Guy Oseary.
According to American media the pop star was found unconscious, after which she was rushed to hospital. Oseary does not share any further details about that.
“Her health is improving, but she is still under surveillance. We expect her to make a full recovery. For now, we are canceling all commitments, including her tour. We will share more details as we know, including a date when the tour will resume. “
The 64-year-old Madonna would start a major tour from July 15, Madonna: The Celebration Tour. With this she wants to celebrate that her musical career now spans forty years.
On December 1 and 2, the singer would perform in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. It is unclear whether those performances will continue. Concert organizer MOJO says it will assume that.
