Madonna was admitted to a New York hospital after being found unconscious in a home on Saturday, according to a note from the New York Postwho added that her eldest daughter, Lourdes, 26, was by the singer’s side during her recovery.
The 64-year-old singer would begin her new tour – in which she had promised to tour since the beginning of her career, 40 years ago, until her latest album – in North America and Europe on July 15 in Vancouver, Canada.
“His health is improving, however he is still under medical care,” Oseary wrote.
The Celebration tour has dates scheduled in Detroit, Chicago, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Denver, Atlanta and Boston, among other cities. The first part would end in Las Vegas on October 7. Oseary said details about how the artist will make up performances will be released soon.
Will he be able to sing again?
The details of Madonna’s bacterial infection were not yet known as of Wednesday afternoon, but it is known that some 23,000 Americans die each year from this type of illness, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, in English).
The doctor Joseph Varón explained that the mortality in people of the age of the American artist, due to severe bacterial infections, is between 20% and 40%, which makes the disease something “relatively dangerous”.
“As long as the source of infection has been attacked early and she goes ahead with the antibiotic treatment, she will be able to return to do her job as long as the kidneys or the heart have not been affected,” he explained. Male.
