Madonna has been back home for a while. But she hadn’t appeared in public until now. Until now: Pictures show the 64-year-old smiling and leaning against a lamppost in New York’s Upper East Side.
The photo was taken near her $40 million home on Sunday. Madonna wore casual Nike sneakers, a dark blue t-shirt and shorts.
Plus a $750 Gucci canvas hat and sunglasses. The adoring fan who snapped the photo said the artist appeared calm and composed.
The pop icon herself announced Monday that she was on the road to recovery. She shared a glamorous new photo of herself at her home in New York. She thanked the fans for the recovery wishes.
“I am now concentrating on my health and getting stronger. And I can assure you that I will be with you again as soon as possible.”
Madonna also looked back on the shock collapse in the statement. She said the first thing she thought about when she woke up in the hospital was her children. The second thought was for their fans. “I didn’t want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for the tour.”
The “current plan” is to postpone the North America portion of the tour. The singer wants the European part to take place as planned from October. Among other things, concerts in Switzerland’s neighboring countries of Italy, France and Germany are planned for November.
