entertainment">“If you’re going to make hateful comments to the LGBTQ+ community about HIV/AIDS, at least know your facts. After decades of scientific research, there are life-saving medicines for children born with HIV, for people who get HIV through a blood transfusion, dirty needles or through the exchange of bodily fluids. These new antiretrovirals can keep people with AIDS alive for the rest of their lives! You don’t get AIDS by standing next to someone and the times when someone dies of AIDS within two or three weeks are thankfully over. I want to shine the light on my cell phone for your ignorance,” said Madonna.
entertainment">She continues: “And about the sexist comments you made about women and their vaginas having to smell like water: this way you only encourage more discrimination against women who daily fight against oppression of men. People like you are the reason we still live in a world divided by fear. All people should be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation or creed. AMEN.”
entertainment">During his show in Miami, DaBaby asked everyone in attendance to turn on their cell phone lights except gays “having sex in parking garages” or those who are HIV positive. He also claimed that people with HIV ‘die within two or three weeks’. He later apologized in part via a tweet. “Anyone affected by HIV/AIDS, you have a right to be angry with me because what I said was insensitive even though I didn’t mean to offend anyone. So my apologies for that.”
entertainment">However, he does not owe the LGBTQ+ community anything, he thinks. “I’m not attacking you at all, do as you please. Your business is your business.”
