The life of Madonna It has always been full of controversy. In 2003, the singer grabbed the headlines and marked one of the unforgettable moments in the history of the MTV VMAs. when he kissed Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera on the mouth while the three performed ‘Like a virgin’ during his presentation in that edition.
Now, the Queen of Pop has recreated the feat, but this time with rapper Tokischa during the Sandbox concert, held at Terminal 5, on the occasion of New York Pride.
The Dominican rapper was on stage alone singing ‘Linda’ and then invited Madonna and both performed ‘Hung up’ while they danced in a suggestive way and hovered provocatively.
According to social media comments, the singers also simulated a sexual act in one of their most risque shows so far given in his musical career.
The relationship between Madonna and Tokischa is not recent. Earlier this month the ‘Hollywood’ interpreter teased a collaboration with the rapper, to whom some commentators have baptized her as the Madonna of the Dominican Republic.
The singer posted a series of photos on Instagram Stories, showing the duo posing with their tongues out in a recording studio, with the caption: “A woman’s work is never done.”
Tokischa is a 26-year-old rapper born in Los Frailesa neighborhood in Santo Domingo Este, who met his manager Raymi Paulus, of the Dominican indie label Paulus Music, in 2016.
Of his music, he previously told Billboard: “I would say I have a very rock-influenced voice because it’s the kind of music I like the most. My style is explicit. It can be morbid, but it’s also joyful.”
According to the Rolling Stones, Tokischa has become a champion of “sexual freedomqueer desire and radical feminism”, while her shows are “liberated and strident spaces, where people let their freak flag wave”.
The Dominican rapper told the publication last month: “I am very raw with my lyrics, and everything I express is very, very, very real. People identify with all of it.”
