Roads were closed in the mountainous areas

At the same time, the road is covered with snow in some places in the mountain areas of the counties located in the middle of the country.

Starting from Tuesday, from 8:00 am, road traffic will be closed on DN 7C (Transfăgărășan), kilometer section 104+000 – 130+800 meters, between Piscul Negru Waterfall (Argeș County) and Bâlea Cascada (Sibiu County). The step was taken due to bad weather, which could endanger the safety of road traffic. The section of road closed to traffic will be marked accordingly.

Since Monday, road traffic has also been closed on DN 67C (Transalpina), kilometer section 34+800 – 79+800 meters, between Rânca (Gorj county) and Curpăt (Sibiu county).

Police officers are advising drivers that, before setting out on the road, they should inform themselves of the weather and road conditions and traffic restrictions in the areas where they are going to travel, without going into the closed road sections and winterize their vehicles. tires, if they traveled in areas where the road is covered with snow, ice or ice.
