“Don’t do it, man! It’s not worth it! ”, People shouted at Kendall Floyd, when he was about to take a jump that could be deadly while he was fleeing from the police yesterday in Brooklyn (NYC).

And yet he jumped from an elevated subway platform onto the roof of a building in Williamsburg, in the midst of frightened bystanders and police. The action was captured in a unusual video published by New York Post.

The madness had started shortly before, when Floyd, 25, was detained by the NYPD because apparently I was driving a car without wearing a seat belt.

But when officers stopped the car at Humboldt and Debevoise streets around 4:10 p.m., Floyd he suddenly opened the door, hit a policeman in the arm and ran away.

Police managed to catch up with him again about three blocks away, but he still refused to give up. The intrepid young man then climbed a pole onto the elevated subway tracks near Flushing Avenue Station (J/M), the police said.

People began to gather, and after a few minutes of hesitation Floyd suddenly launched himself to everyone’s surprise, jumping “a great distance” to the roof of a commercial building across the street, according to the shocking images.

The video continued with several cops running around the corner toward a chain-link fence blocking off the area behind the building where Floyd landed. One of the agents scaled the fence to catch the fugitive escapist.

Floyd, a resident of Queens, miraculously only suffered a leg injury after the dramatic jump. He was taken to Woodhull Medical Center in stable condition.

He was arrested and charged with assault on a police officer, reckless endangerment, official misconduct, false impersonation, two counts of trespassing, disorderly conduct, and seat belt violation, according to the police.

The officer injured during the initial car stop went to the Brooklyn Hospital Center to be checked out, police said.
