Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced that his state government will take steps to ban “objectionable web series” after religious preacher Devkinandan Thakur spoke about the need for such a ban. Thakur spoke about how the young generation is being alienated from culture due to the content on such platforms. The chief minister agreed, citing that Madhya Pradesh is a land of religious and spiritual importance. Thakur has spoken out against shows and series on OTT platforms, claiming that they have a negative impact on social relations.
