Madelen Janogy has had a goal-oriented dream start at her new club Fiorentina. A goal form she has managed to bring into the national team collection.
In the Nations League qualifier against Bosnia, she laid the foundation for Sweden’s victory with two headed goals in the first half.
– Football is incredibly fun now. I feel good and I love to play. It’s nice to be in that feeling, then you don’t have to think so much but just drive on, she tells SVT Sport.
And in the second half, she got help from her teammates to close the show. Perhaps it was the most memorable for Pauline Hammarlund, who made her first international match since the fall of 2020. Like her clubmate Janogy, she found the right header and was able to head in 4-0 for Sweden.
The final score in the match was 5-0, which gives Sweden a clear advantage before the return match at home on Wednesday. The winner of the double encounter gets to play in the Nations League’s A division during the next edition.
