Kochi: Customs seized 1762 grams of gold worth Rs 78 lakh at Kochi International Airport. The gold was made into a paste and attached to both feet. Muhammad Dilshad, a native of Malappuram, was arrested.
He was from Sharjah and added gold under both feet. He then he covered the gold with duct tape so that he could not be recognized and put on socks and shoes. Suspicious of his pace, the customs officers took off his shoes and checked them. Previously, gold had also been seized after being dissolved and misled.
