Made in USA: The Dream Machine Film Exhibition Showcasing Twelve Innovating Films in American Cinema

From A Space Odyssey to The Matrix make up the list of twelve feature films that innovated and transformed the American film industry, part of the Made in USA: the dream machine film exhibition, which will be screened at the end of August at the Ochoymedio cinema (Valladolid N24 -353 and Vizcaya, Quito) by the North American Ecuadorian Center (CEN).

It will be complemented by the Lección de Cine discussion series, in which experts will share their insights on the technology and techniques applied to the selected titles.

The cycle will begin on Monday August 28 with 2001: a Space Odyssey (2001: space odyssey), at 7:30 p.m., followed on Tuesday 29 by Wings (Wings) at 4:30 p.m. and Gold diggers of 1933 (Cazafortunas de 1933) at 7:30 p.m. In this schedule scheme, Avatar and Inception (The Origin) will be presented on Wednesday the 30th; The Blair witch project (The Blair Witch Project) and Citizen Kane (Citizen Kane) on Thursday 31; Jaws (Shark) on Friday the 1st; Modern times (Modern times) and Westworld (Metal souls) on Saturday 2; and Toy Story and The Matrix will close on Sunday the 3rd.

“We have selected feature films released between 1927 and 2010, so that the public can appreciate cinematographic milestones from the beginnings of talkies to the digital age of the 21st century. It will be an opportunity to enjoy films that have expanded the possibilities of the great Hollywood dream machine,” says Deborah Chiriboga High, cultural director of CEN.

Spectators can pick up their tickets free of charge at the box office (a maximum of two tickets per person) the same day of the show, starting at 3:00 p.m. The capacity is 125 people per projection. (AND)
