The Made in France Exhibition – MIF Expo will take up residence from November 9 to 12, 2023 Porte de Versailles, Paris.
The CMA network has been taking part since its launch and has for several years installed its essential “Village of Crafts”in which artisans from all over France are invited to present their know-how.
This year, the chambers of trades and crafts are thinking particularly big, with an XXL stand with an area 2.000 m² to which 220 exhibitors were invited.
100,000 visitors expected
Coming from the four corners of France and overseas territories, the artisans will be able to present their profession and their know-how to 100.000 expected visitors, general public as suppliers or distributors, all while promoting products made in France.
But it is also, thanks to this event, about highlighting young companies which, beyond their firm desire to produce in the region, wish to benefit from the media influence of this Show to reach a clientele and raise awareness of tricolor values.
A beautiful window of visibility
The lucky artisans, previously selected to represent their department, will benefit from great visibility for:
- Exhibit their products and make sales;
- Establish new partnerships;
- Find new business opportunities.
They will represent around sixty trades: featherwork, embroidery, jewelry, leather goods, eyewear, stationery, brewery, chocolate, beekeeping, ironwork, cutlery… And cosmetics!
Growing notoriety
The MIF Expo was launched in 2012 and has only increased its notoriety over the years. A dynamic that clearly reflects customers’ enthusiasm for those who promote the values of made in France, such as Be Fresh & Bio.
In the brand’s recipes, raw materials sourced as close as possible to the laboratory, in the Occitanie region“with full priority given to French companies”, to make soaps, solid shampoos, toothpastes, deodorants, scrubs, accessories…
“Our credo: natural products from organic farming as much as possible, all of which are not tested on animals and without animal materials.”
Affef Sahraoui and Barbara Laurent, the two co-founders of the brand, created the company in 2021, “following a resignation from our respective permanent contracts in agri-food research and development in the same company”.
A great proof that French craftsmanship can be carried by younger generations, and that it is attractive enough for talented people to leave a comfortable job and take on its challenges.
Two different, but complementary personalities
Behind these solid cosmetics hides a friendly crush: Affef, always up for new adventures and the desire to start her own business; Barbara the dreamer, who imagines herself in a greener world.
“We were keen to create a brand that resembles us with common values because, for several years, we had become aware of the impact of the cosmetics industry on our environment, but also directly on our health.”
After the launch, months of work followed: sourcing of raw materials, production, packaging, shipping, creation of the website…
“Removing the complexity of solid cosmetics is also our goal!”
Proof of the brand’s success: solid cosmetics made in France are no longer only intended for people with strong ecological values. A crusade in which the co-founders willingly engage:
“We aim to make our young brand known to a new audience. We currently have an e-shop and export to Europe in a few boutiques but, thanks to the MIF Expo, we can meet new potential customers that we can’t meet through our social media.”
