Now the “Made Festival” is making a fresh start in Darmstadt: The Theater Mollerhaus and the State Theater will host excellent productions of the independent theater scene in Hesse from June 5th to 7th. “MADE” is a series of events by “Laprof”, the state association of professional liberal arts. This year, the motto is “100 percent grasp”.
In Darmstadt, the program begins on Friday, June 5, with a staging in public urban space: The group “Mobile Albania” starts its “The Apparatus” campaign at 4, 6 and 8 p.m .: People sit on high chairs hundreds of meters apart – with it If their communication is successful, errand boys carry the messages from one post to another. How this works can also be experienced along Wilhelminenstrasse on Saturday, June 6, from 12, 2, 4 and 6 p.m.
The festival will be opened on Friday at 7:00 p.m. with the words of the patron Helmut Müller and a “balloon act”, from 8:00 p.m. in the Theater Mollerhaus Cornelia Niemann from Frankfurt will show her documentary theater “Do you really want to put your father in the trash?” Family history will be repeated on Saturday, June 6th, also at 8 p.m., afterwards there will be an opportunity to talk.
On June 6th and 7th, at 6.30 p.m. in the Kammerspiele of the Staatstheater, you can see the second episode of “Rot oder tot”, a socialist Romeo and Juliet story from the GDR of the 1960s. The theater series format was developed by the collective “Elegance from reflex”, the fifth and last episode premiered in Frankfurt in 2019. At the end of the festival Saturday, a “contactless digital party” is promised, in which the audience should dance to the music of a DJ at home.
