“The case of a Thai U-23 player being sexually harassed created a negative effect, damaging the image of FAT, the unit that receives the protection of the Thai Royal Family. Therefore, the investigative committee commission will step in to clarify and seek the truth. A report on this incident will be sent out. to the AFC,” the FAT statement read.
Madam Pang, who was dragged by his name, immediately apologized. He is also ready to cooperate in investigating this case.
“I am very worried about what happened. At the request of the President of the Football Federation of Thailand (FAT), I immediately investigated and punished the staff. I also promise not to let similar cases happen again in the future, in order to maintain a good image and dignity in the sport, ” he said.
“With FAT continuing to investigate, I am willing to cooperate and await the final results. I also see this as a management lesson to avoid similar things in the future,” he said. Madam Pang.
This case makes Thai football even more complicated. Because previously, the Thailand U-19 national team squad was just eliminated in the semifinals of the 2022 AFF U-19 Cup in Bekasi, after being bent by Laos 0-2. Thailand U-19 National Team now only have the opportunity to fight for the third position against Vietnam, which was also beaten by Malaysia 0-3 at the Patriot Chandrabhaga Stadium.
