The collaboration with the FMFP is an innovative and unique approach responding to the needs of the industry in Madagascar in its positioning in global supply chains. The objective of the P2CSI is to promote the social compliance of companies through training that the organizations selected and authorized under the P2CSI will now be able to provide to companies. The social compliance of companies is a guarantee of improving their productivity and retaining and expanding their market at the international and regional level, in a context where compliance with international labor standards is becoming a conditionality for market access. .
The P2CSI intends to enhance the quality of training offers addressed to industries in Madagascar by improving the know-how of providers, thus contributing to the development of a more competitive, sustainable and socially responsible industrial sector. The program trained these organizations for a year on topics related to social dialogue, workers’ rights and responsibilities, violence and harassment in the workplace, sexual harassment and supervision techniques.
The training then gave rise to evaluations to assess the capacity of these organizations to provide it to their clients. The results achieved are noteworthy: the reference documents from the Better Work training program are now available, thus allowing the dissemination of its essential notions within all companies.
A pool of training providers certified on the themes and approach of Better Work has been set up, guaranteeing adherence to the values of the FMFP and its work ethic. The training reference system as well as the established evaluation process guarantee the quality of the training services adapted and oriented towards the priorities of the calls for training projects launched by the FMFP.
Thanks to this course, these organizations will now have the necessary tools to respond to specific needs around the improvement of decent and fair working conditions.
